Celtic Cross Pipes and Drums
has the distinct honor of being the Peoria-area's premier bagpipe and drum band. Founded in 1963, we started with one piper and three students. Today we are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, registered with the State of Illinois, with more than thirty pipers, drummers and students active in our organization.
Celtic Cross Pipes and Drums is an engaging performance band. We are available for hire for parades, festivals and private events.
Celtic Cross Pipes and Drums is a member of the Midwest Pipe Band Association and we compete in Grades V and IV throughout the Midwest and internationally. We have earned a solid reputation, consistently winning performance medals.
In an effort to further promote our Scottish heritage, the Band welcomes new students by offering tuition-free piping and drumming instruction.
